A sorcerer was brutally attacked by villagers in Remuna area on Wednesday. The victim is undergoing treatment in the District Headquarters Hospital in a serious state.
According to sources, Muna Majhi, the sorcerer, had gone to the house of one Parsuram Majhi to perform a puja when both were attacked by the villagers. Muna sustained grievous wounds and was soon rushed to the hospital. In another incident, a 17- year- old youth was referred to the SCB Medical College and Hospital after sustaining critical injuries. The victim, Chandan Majhi, was attacked with sharp weapons by nearly 10 people near Tamulia over previous feud on Tuesday night.
