Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, after lending a helping hand to migrant labourers in reaching their homes during the lockdown, recently announced a scholarship for underprivileged students who want to pursue higher education.
And now, Sood has drawn Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s attention on Twitter requesting him to help in treatment of a cancer-stricken young girl from Attabira in Bargarh district.
One Sukant Meher initially brought to Sood’s notice about the girl’s plight. Even though Ratnabati Pradhan has been suffering from lung cancer for quite long period, the Government is yet to provide her any help.
Sood became a messiah for needy people, especially migrant labourers, during the Covid-induced lockdown.
Many are worshipping Sood or naming their shops after him in several places of the country.
