Odia singer Adyasha Das released “A Song for the Chausathi Yoginis, Hirapur”, her latest musical venture, at the ancient tantric seat of worship, the hypaethral Chausathi Yogini Temple at Hirapur on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra.

The first-ever song depicts rare qualities of all Chausathi Yoginis and is a unique contribution to the preservation of the cultural legacy.

In a rare morning ritual, recreating the age-old ancient era, the song venerating the Chausathi Yoginis was released in the temple premises in the presence of the writer of the lyric, Jnanpith laureate Pratibha Ray and renowned music composer Omprakash Mohanty.

The Hirapur residents, a few tourists and priests, witnessed the first rendering of the song. The chanting of tantra, shlokas, Yogini mantras, divine effect of ghanta, musical bells, mahuri, powerful lyrics and divine composition all created a magic of transcendence.
