Social activist Radhakanta Tripathy has been conferred with the Dadhichi Samman by the Padmanabha Pathagar, a leading organisation in the library movement in Bhadrak district.

Utkal Bharat president and former MP Kharabela Swain, Bhadrak Additional SP Asit Kumar and Prof Dr Manindra Mohanty felicitated Tripathy for his selfless service towards the entire humankind. like Rishi Dadhichi, Tripathy has been sacrificing his life for the betterment of the people, especially for the poor, marginal and destitute. Though he has been honoured by the limca Book of Records for three consecutive years in 2011, 2012 and 2013 for protection of human rights and environment; no certificate or recognition can explain the quantum of contribution made by Tripathy, the guests opined. Being the leader of Nadi-Nala Satyagraha, he has chosen a noble methodology to protest against the injustice done to the rural masses by Government officials while executing the Salandi-Nalia river renovation project in the district.
