In a bid to provide world class technical training to teachers teaching in different technical institutes, like IITs, polytechnics and also students of such institutes a training programme on the theme ‘High end finishing skill training’ was inaugurated here by Chief Secretary GC Pati. Around 5,000 teachers working in different technical institutes and youths will impart skill development training in the programme.
In the first phase, seven Government IITs in Cuttack, Rayagada, Ambaguda, Talcher, Rourkela, Hirakud and Baleswar and two polytechnics in Brahmapur and Choudwar has been included in the scheme which will later be extended to all Government technical institutes, said ET&ET Secretary CS Kumar.
