The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Monday served a notice to nine servitors, including eight Daitapatis and a Maharana of the shrine, in connection with the delay in the Brahma Parivartan rituals during Nabakalebar in 2015.
SJTA chief Pradipta Mohapatra served the notice to the servitors asking them to reply within 15 days. In default, action would be taken against them as per the Shree Jagannath Temple Act, 1955.
Earlier on November 14, 2018, the SJTA had served a notice to eight Sevayats and a senior Maharana in connection with the Brahma Parivartan fiasco.
Notably, the Brahma Parivartan rituals of Lord Jagannath and His divine siblings were delayed during the 2015 Nabakalebar following a clash among the servitors triggering a huge outcry across the State.
Taking cognisance of the issue, the SJTA had initiated a probe into the matter.
