As many as six members of a family were found dead in their house in mysterious circumstances at Sanrapada village under the Patnagarh police station in Balangir district on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Bulu Jani (50), his wife Jyoti (48), two daughters Sarita and Shreya, and two sons Bhishma and Sanjeev. According to reports, neighbours noticed the door of the house being closed and suspected foul play. Later, they spotted through the window that the six being covered with blanket were lying on floor.
On being informed, police and forensic team reached the spot and confirmed the deaths. The bodies were sent by police for post-mortem while further investigation was on to ascertain the reason behind the deaths.The bodies bore injury marks, a police official said.
