The three-day-long Sisupalgarh Mahotsav at the Dussera ground of Sisupalgarh here came to an end on Sunday.
A large number of people gathered at the ground to listen to Bollywood singer Abhijit live in concert. Amidst thunderous applause, Abhijit, cladding a maroon colour jacket over black shirt, made an entry with his unique style singing "Badshah O Badshah…" from behind the stage.
The songs he picked from his treasure trove were "Bahut Khub Surat Ho…", "Badi Mushkil Hai…", "lamha lamha Teri….", "Chand Tare Tod laun…", "Jara Si Sawnli Hai O…",! "Vada Raha Ssanam…." and left the old and young demanding more. The overcrowded festival ground seemed to be under Abhijit's total grip as long as he was on the stage.
Eminent Odishi dancer Dona Ganguly, wife of cricket star Saurav Ganguly, was the other attraction of the evening. She chose Durga, a choreography of Padma Bibhushan Kelu Charan Mohapatra.
Moksha Troupe, GSPA troupe, Pradeep Krishna and Nehani Niharika Kar were also featured in the closing ceremony of the festival. KAPOCH chairman Sangram Keshari Paikray said that from next year, the festival is likely to have an international tag.
