As per RTI Act Section 15(3), two newly-appointed State Information Commissioners, laxminarayan Patnaik and Sikhiprava Bindhani, would take oath of office on June 16 at the Raj Bhavan.
Governor SC Jamir would read out the oath as per Section 16(3) of the Act.
Notably, Patnaik has been nominated to the post from the field of law while Bindhani from social service.
With the new appointments, the State Information Commission will have two SICs.
