The State Government launched a shuttle bus service for safe transportation of tourists to the Dhauli hilltop here.
Six 26-seat buses were flagged off by Culture and Tourism Minister Ashok Panda on Sunday to take the visitors to the Dhauli hilltop and bring them back.
Besides, a parking lot was inaugurated in the foothills of Dhauli where the tourist buses would be parked.
While there is no fee for parking the tourist buses at the parking lot, the visitors have to pay Rs 10 per person to use the shuttle bus service. A shuttle bus is available every 15 minutes.
The government is planning to introduce ropeway services in major tourist destinations like Kapilas, Barunei and Dhauli in upcoming days, said Minister Panda.
