Shun caste system, discard corrupt leaders, says FPI

The Freethought Party of India (FPI) called for a reform in the electoral system in the country and elimination of caste system and blind beliefs.

It is very much shameful that India continues to be a land of primitive, backward and thoroughly immoral and unethical people. Vijay Mallya and lalit Modi are the best examples. Human trafficking is still going on, said a release of the FPI.

The party also stressed on nomination of ethically-minded brilliant Dalit students by the political parties as their candidates to contest polls rather than the corrupt and criminally-driven ones.

It further dubbed it idiotic to worship any god or goddess, including the so-called lord Hanuman in the 21st century.

“People remain virtually illiterate and ill-informed in Odisha, in Rajasthan, Kerala and in each and every part of India. Devotees are rolling on thorns and on hot sands to get the blessings of the so-called god or goddess. All religious festivals are irrelevant and therefore, all such festivals should be banned and people should be educated to develop their scientific temper and spirit of inquiry as provided under Art 51 A(h) of the Constitution of India,” demanded FPI general secretary B Ramchandra CST Voltaire.
