It’s good news for devotees waiting to have darshan of Lord Jagannath and His divine siblings at the temple in Puri that the shrine would reopen on December 23.
Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar told mediapersons on Saturday that the SJTA is planning to reopen the temple for devotees soon with strict adherence to the Covid-19 restrictions. “A recommendation will be sent to the State Government to open the temple for residents of Puri for the first five days of its reopening,” Kumar said after chairing a Chhatisa Nijog meeting here.
