After a few days’ lull, pictures of the Shreemandir once again went viral on social media on Saturday, putting a question mark on the security measures at the shrine, which according intelligence inputs, is on the radar of terror outfits.
Some photographs of the Jagannath Temple’s Nata Mandap and exterior of the Jagamohan were found posted on the Facebook account of a Hyderabad-based resident, Anand Ginkintla.
Reports said the photographs were from the Kirtan Chakada during evening hours. However, police are yet to trace the person who made the pictures viral on social media.
The incidence has drawn sharp criticism from the lords’ devotees, who have been accusing the temple administration of being indifferent towards providing adequate and strict security measures in the temple to prevent such incidences, which have become routine.
Earlier in November 2017, photos of repair works of the Jagamohan were uploaded on social media.
Police had also registered a case against two youths, including one from Pune in Maharashtra, for posting pictures of the temple’s interiors on Facebook in December 2017.
