International shooter Shriyanka Sadangi has been declared winner of the prestigious Ekalabya Puraskar for the year 2013.
The award, instituted by the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust ( IMPaCT), the charitable wing of IMFA Group, carries a cash prize of `2 lakh. Athlete Dutee Chand and weightlifter Achyutanand Sahu were adjudged as citation winners with a cash award of `50,000 each.
The Ekalabya Puraskar is today recognised as the most prestigious sports award of Odisha. The award is given every year to young sportspersons of the State in recognition of their outstanding performances in the preceding two years.
