At least three women devotees sustained burn injuries in three separate incidents while offering puja at temples on the occasion of Mahashivaratri celebrated across the State on Monday. According to reports, a woman sustained grievous burn injuries at a Shiva temple in the Chakeisiani area in the capital city while offering earthen lamps to the lord.
She was admitted to the Capital Hospital here in a critical condition.Two other women sustained burn injuries in Baripada and Jajpur Road while offering prayers. While a woman was injured in Bhanjeswar temple in Baripada, another sustained injuries in Swapneswar temple at Biramanipur in the Jajpur Road area. The conditions of the women were stated to be critical.
