Two days after an ancient Shiva Linga was unearthed in a village in Bhadrak, one more was found in Ganjam district on Monday.
The representation of Lord Shiva was discovered at an abandoned field at Chandrapada village under Chhatrapur block.
A resident of the village had dreamt about the Shiva Linga a few day back. However, nobody had believed that. Some youths started digging out the soil at the field on Monday after they smelled sandalwood fragrance coming out from the ground.
The youths found a Shiva Linga covered with sandalwood paste. As the news spread, villagers thronged the place and started digging ground with curiosity, following which they discovered another Shiva Linga.
As the Shiva Lingas were discovered on Monday in holy month of Kartik, locals offered prayers at the place.
