Srimad Jagadguru 145th Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Maharaj of Gobardhan Math, Puri, is scheduled to visit the KIIT University, and KISS, a home for 20,000 tribal students, on July 14 and 15.
Informing this at a Press meet at the KISS campus here on Monday, Shri Sankaracharya Pravas Yojana Samiti secretary Pandit Matru Prasad Mishra lamented that Indian youth are detached from their national culture and science. Though western countries are absorbing Indian culture and spiritualism, Indian youth are going away from their own culture.
He said Shankaracharya, who has a vital role to curb these odd symptoms in the Indian society, would interact with and advise the 40,000 students of KIIT and KISS about the real knowledge and science and how to construct a valuable nation. later, he would address intellectuals at the KIIT campus on July 15.
