Well-known Kuchipudi dancer Shallu Jindal will be honoured with the National Nritya Ratna Award, 2014 for her outstanding contributions in the field of Indian classical dance on Friday.
Jindal will also perform Kuchipudi dance on occasion of the 5th Cuttack Mahotsav, International Dance and Music Festival, 2014, being organized at Kala Vikash Kendra, Cuttack.
Besides being a noted Kuchipudi dancerm, Jindal is also the co-chairperson of Jindal Steel and Power Foundation and the vice president of the ‘Flag Foundation of India’.She is also a member on Central Advisory Board on Culture and has recently been appointed the chairperson of the National Bal Bhawan.
