The scheduled visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Odisha on June 17 has been put on hold for a temporary period in view of the impending Cyclone Biparjoy, which will hit the Gujarat coast on June 15, said BJP general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan on Wednesday.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shah are in contact with the IMD, NDRF and other Central agencies for the cyclone. Thus, the scheduled visit of Shah to Odisha on June 17 has been put on hold for a temporary period,” said Harichandan.
However, the scheduled visit of BJP national president JP Nadda to Kalahandi district on June 22 remains unchanged, said he.
