Three youths of Sundargarh district were allegedly trafficked to New Delhi about eleven days ago and thereafter sold off in Himachal Pradesh. The fathers of the victim youths sought the help of police to get back their sons.
The victim youths were identified as Rajesh Patra(19), Suresh Mahanto (20) and Rajesh Kishan (20), residents of Bad Purunapani under lahunipada police station limits.
As per the allegation of the complainants, one Rasid Ansari of Nuagaon village under Bisra police station lured the trio to provide them employment in New Delhi. Rasid allegedly kept them in New Delhi for some time and later shifted them to Himachal Pradesh where he sold them off to some agents. The mobile phone and ATM cards of the youths were snatched away. The three youths allegedly are being tortured there, they complained.
The matter came to the fore after Rajesh Patra secretly telephoned to his father Shankar Patra and narrated their ordeal.
lahunipada police called Rasid to the police station and interrogated him. Police also asked Rasid to bring the youths to their village as early as possible and hand over them to their parents.
