A college student was arrested and forwarded to court on Saturday allegedly for posting an obscene photo of his lover, who is a minor girl on Whatsapp. The mobile phone of the accused was seized.
The accused was identified as Ranjan Naik(22) who hails from Tumabahal village under lepripada police station.
He studies in +3 at Bileigarh under Bhasma police station. Naik was staying in his uncle’s house at Bileigarh. There he had fallen in love with a minor girl, who studies in Class X. Naik had allegedly taken some photographs with the girl during the year 2016. Recently, Naik had sent obscene photos of the girl in Whatsapp.
When the minor girl came to know about this, she lodged a FIR in the Bhasma police station. The police after registering a case had started an investigation and on Friday night, rounded up Naik.
