One youth was arrested by Sundargarh police on Sunday on charges of murder of his friend.
According to sources, Binod Rautia, a resident of luhardipa village under Sundargarh town police station and Pradeep Nag, a native of Dengabadi village, also under Sundargarh town police station, were close friends.
On October 21 evening, they had a quarrel over a cell phone and Pradeep had pushed Binod while the latter was trying to snatch the phone away from him.
As a result, Binod's head hit a cement wall.
Pradeep reportedly had picked up Binod and wanted to know if any injury has occurred.
later, Pradeep had dropped Binod in his house.
But Binod reportedly had turned critical and was rushed to hospital, where he died. On October 27, a complaint was filed with police that Binod had been killed by Pradeep.
Police, besides registering a case, dug out the body and sent the same to the VIMSAR, Burla for post mortem report.
"Since, the post mortem report confirmed that the death has been caused due to head injury, we arrested Pradeep Nag on Sunday," said Inspector In-charge, Sundargarh town police station Thakur Das Murmu.
