A Class-II student of a Government Upper Primary Tribal School in Sundargarh district was electrocuted on Tuesday afternoon in the school premises. Since the mother of the boy is reportedly at Delhi, school authorities are now trying to communicate her about the shocking incident.
The diseased was identified as Arun Jojo (8). He was a resident of Gudiatoli and a student of Class II in Suidih Upper Primary School under lathikata block. The school has a hostel inside the school premises. Since Arun's father is no more, while giving admission in the school, Arun's mother had told the headmistress that she was going to Delhi with some work. Arun had been residing with his cousin brother in the school hostel over last four days.
On Tuesday afternoon, Arun touched a live wire while playing during lunch break at around 1.30 pm. He was rushed to the Rourkela Government Hospital and during treatment there, he died.
