S'garh girl's remarriage with lover turns sour

A Sundargarh youth helped his wife marry her lover three days back and the two lovebirds were all over the moon after their marriage. But the newly-wedded couple is now in a soup after landing in their native Debadihi village, as the Kissan community ostracised them.

The elder brother of the girl, who was also present during the second marriage of her sister at  Pamara village in  Bargaon of  Sundargarh district, also claimed that her sister's act defamed his family in the society and therefore, they were going to cut off relationship with her.

The couple are Kaushlya  Dandsena and Susil Pradhan.   Kausalya's brother Sanatan was not happy with the development. Although Sanatan and his wife were present during the marriage, he had not accepted the remarriage of her younger sister. Following complaints of Sanantan, the Kissan community reportedly boycotted the couple on Sunday evening.

"The entire incident has been an embarrassment to my family and my community as well. As the community has boycotted the couple, they cannot attend any function of our community as well as of my family," Sanatan said, adding, "I cannot allow both of them to enter in to my house, in my lifetime."

Sources said that following the incident, a meeting was organised at their village on Sunday evening, following which the senior persons from the Kissan community realised the remarriage of Kausalya was disgrace to them and therefore, the community boycotted both Susil and Kausalya for their act.

The couple, however, was optimistic that everything will be fine in due course of time. "We have nothing to react over the opinion of our community members and our elders, as we feel  we  will  be  accepted by  our  community and  everyone  here  in due course of time," said Susil in his reaction.
