On the charge of molestation of a Class-IV girl student, the Kanjipani police in Keonjhar district arrested and court-forwarded Arjuna Charan Mahanta (54), Headmaster of the Kanjipani ME School on Thursday.
Keonjhar SDPO James Toppo said the headmaster was in the habit of asking the girl to bring water for him when he was alone and touching her private parts. When the girl was protesting his act, he was threatening her not to disclose it outside.
However, after the parents of the victim came to know about the matter, they immediately lodged a complaint at the local police station and the police took action immediately. The police investigation is expected to reveal further details of the matter.
