The Crime Branch sleuths on Monday submitted the final chargesheet before the SDJM Court of Kendrapada against self proclaimed godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Roul, informed Additional Public Prosecutor Sanjay Jena.
later, Sarathi’s lawyer submitted a bail petition before SDJM Pritish Kumar Routray but while hearing the case, the court rejected the petition, informed Jena.
It may be noted here that an unmarried victim girl of Haladidiha on August 21 last had registered a case with the Crime Branch alleging that Santosh Roul abused her sexually during her stay at the Sarathi Ashram at Barimul years back. later, the Crime Branch produced the victim girl on August 22 before the SDJM Court for recording her statement.
