Police claimed to have busted a sex racket which was being run from a rented house in Kumutigida of Malkangiri district by arresting three persons including two youths from the area on Wednesday night. Two women were also rescued during the operation.
While the accused youths were found to be natives of Sukma in bordering Chhattisgarh, the two women were from Jharsuguda and Malkangiri, respectively. As locals saw strangers entering a rented house at odd hours and staying there for a long time, they got suspicious and informed police.
A police team led by the Malkangiri PS IIC reached the spot, carried out a raid and found that flesh trade was being carried out. The IIC said all others involved in the racket would be nabbed soon.
