Four persons were forwarded to court on Sunday after their arrest on the allegation of involvement in a sex racket in a residential house in the NAC of Jaleswar by the side of NH-60.
The police unearthed the racket and caught them from the prostitution den, which was running for about one and a half months at Jaleswar
The arrested were Umakanta Si (25) of Nahanjara village and his associate laxmipriya Giri (45) of Kamarsalia village and customers Sk Asiruddin Shah (25) and Nasiruddin Shah (23) Patharapura village.
The police also seized a huge quantity of contraceptive materials and alcohol from the house and four mobile handsets and cash of `6,800 cash from the arrested persons
However, the victim woman of Ayodhya of Nilgiri was let off with her husband following interrogation by the police. “Further investigation is on after getting call details from the mobile phones,” said Jaleswar police station IIC Sujit Pradhan.
