As many as seven councillors of the Pattamundai Municipality on Monday evening got bail after giving a bond of Rs5,000 each with one solvent surety.
They were Kalakar Sethy, Hiranya Kumar Rout, Purnima lenka, Sk Amrul, Malati Patra, Asmita Mohanty and Urmila Panda.As tension mounted on last week at Pattamundai between the councillors over observing the Self Governance Day, with a section deciding to hold it separately, police had sensed trouble. Apprehending that it may lead to breach of peace, the police had brought it to the notice of the Executive Magistrate of Kendrapara. The Executive Magistrate had issued warrant against 14 councillors under Section 107 of the CrPC.
