The Aluminium smelter and captive power plant (CPP) unit of the Sesa Sterlite, Jharsuguda was conferred with the Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award in general and power category, respectively, at the 15th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management held in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
President and COO of Sesa Sterlite, Jharsuguda Abhijit Pati said the award reaffirms the company’s commitment towards adhering to greener business practices, which are not merely energy efficient but further downscale the effects of their operations on environment and its constituent natural resources.
Dayanidhi Behera, N Srinivas, Bijneswar Mohanty, Pratap Singh, Ramesh Patro and Sandhydeep Jena from the Aluminium Smelter and Manas Tyagi, Prabupada Acharya, Monalisha Das and Anuradha Das from the CPP received the award, instituted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), on behalf of the company.
