A major mishap was averted when a police bus had a collision with a private bus leading to a series of crashes near the Janata Maidan here on Monday.
Fortunately, no casualty was reported though over 20 persons, including the drivers of the police bus and a car, were injured in the mishap. The injured were rushed to a hospital.
According to sources, the police vehicle first collided with the private bus from the behind, following which the bus lost control and hit two cars in the front of it.
