Senior advocate Balkrushna alias Rakhal Nanda formally joined the BJP on Akshay Tritiya day here in the presence of BJP State president Basanta Panda, BJP legislature Party leader KV Singh Deo and former party MP Sangeeta Singh Deo.
Nanda said the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inspired him to join the BJP. Not a single scam has been reported in the last three years of the Modi Government at the Centre. During the Modi regime, India’s stature and image at the international level has increased, he observed.
Political observers speculate that Nanda would be the BJP MlA candidate from the Balangir Assembly constituency in the 2019 elections.
To a media query, KV Singh Deo said it is the party which decides who would be a candidate in an election, and he cannot say right now about it, he added.
In another development, according to media reports, BJP Balangir district Yuva Morcha president Ajay Bali has sent his resignation letter to the BJP State president feeling “neglected and ignored” by the Balangir BJP leadership.
