The Federation of Senior Citizens’ Association of Odisha (FOSCAO), Bhubaneswar held its executive body meeting recently chaired by association senior vice-president Akshaya Kumar Mishra.
Discussion was held on future course of the organisation, welfare and problems of underprivileged groups and senior citizens of the State. Association general secretary Jugal Kishore Sahoo urged the Government to take appropriate steps for enhancing the old age pension from Rs 200 per month to Rs 1,000 per month and issue identity cards for them both in urban and rural areas.
Among others, laxidhara Behera, Surendra Kumar Mishra, Golakha Patra, Arun Kumar Puruseth, PC Mohanty, Prahallad Tripathy, Siba Prasad Mishra, Bijay Kumar Nanda and Dharanidhara Nayak were present.
