Two brave senior citizens foiled a loot bid by apprehending two chain snatchers at Koel Nagar here on Sunday. According to sources, a woman was on a morning walk when two bike-borne miscreants snatched her chain away. While they were trying to speed away the spot, two senior citizens, who were present at the spot, offered stiff resistance. Soon a scuffle ensued between the elderly men and the chain snatchers.
Some passersby also came to their rescue and managed to overpower the miscreants.
Getting information, a patrolling team of the Jharipani police station reached the spot and took the accused persons into custody.
