DLSA assures all support
The MKCG Senior Citizens Forum, Gajapati Nagar, Brahmapur in association with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) observed the Senior Citizens Day here on Monday.
DLSA Secretary Bijaya Kumar Dash gracing as chief guest highlighted different legal assistances extended by the Government for the welfare of the senior citizens and urged upon the senior citizens to avail the benefit. He also advised senior citizens to approach his office for any need as and when required.
On the occasion, the Brahmapur Family Court Sessions Judge, Chief District Medical Officer, ADMO and BNpur police station IIC also spoke. Seven senior most members were felicitated.
Forum convener urged upon the gathering to form more such forums in coming days in the greater interest of the senior citizens.
Among others, forum president Binod Kumar Mahapatro and working secretary Purnna Chandra Panda were present.
A health checkup camp was also conducted by the DLSA. Hundreds of senior citizens of the locality attended the meeting.
