The Senior Citizens’ Day will be observed here on October 1 with a series of district-level programmes. Around 500 senior citizens would attend the function.
A meeting regarding the programme was held under the chairmanship of ADM Manas Ranjan Padhi. CDMO Bibekanada Das, DSP Crime Sudarshan Dash, DSSO Kamlakanta Behera, Sub-Collector Sadar Nilu Mohapatra, DIPRO Subash Nihal and Laxmidhar Behera among others were present.
A health checkup camp as well as medicine distribution would be held for the senior citizens. Besides, yoga education would be given by the Prajapita Iswariya Maha Vidyalaya. Dr Nima Sapathy would provide occupational therapy tips.
