The Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Department in association with the Khordha district administration observed the Senior Citizens’ Day here on Monday.
Khordha Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra, SP Dipti Ranjan Ray, Additional Collector Manoranjan Mallik and DRDA PD Saroj Kumar Mishra attended as guests.
The guests said that everyone should help the senior citizens in their different problems like security, health and law. They also said that the suggestions of senior citizens should be taken for the different people-centric schemes.
On the occasion, the Sight Saver International, Bhubaneswar in association with the Chief District Medical Office organised a heath camp in which many senior citizens participated.
District Social Security Officer Ashok Kumar Patra and block Social Security Officer Biplap Keshari Samatarya coordinated the programme.
