Seminar on good governance organised at ECoR

The Accounts Department of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Thursday organised a seminar on “Good Governance” issues. Special reference was given to the information technology (IT) initiatives in the ECoR.

ECoR General Manager Rajiv Vishnoi exhorted all accounts officials to do a thorough and detailed examination of all proposals while at the same time appreciating the overall benefit of the proposals to the organisation. The Accounts Department plays a very vital role in the railway system and the importance of the finance and accounts wing of the Railways would continue to grow in the future.

He also stressed upon training and exposure courses for accounts officials so that they are abreast of developments in the field of accounting, finance, project evaluation, etc. The meeting was coordinated by Principal FA&CAO Vijay Kumar. All Heads of Departments and accounts officers of the ECoR attended the seminar.
