Police on Friday arrested one Prafulla Kumar Pradhan and forwarded him to the SDJM Court on Saturday for selling fake stamp papers at premises of the Jharsuguda Court.
Pradhan has been selling fake stamp papers at the court premises for the last 15 years without the knowledge of the court officials. But on Friday, an advocate caught him red-handed. later, the District Bar Council took him to the Jharsuguda Town police station and filed an FIR against him in the evening. Besides, two other FIRs have been lodged against him on the same charge. District Bar Council president Raghumani Patel said surprisingly the person was selling these fake stamp papers and even with forged signature of advocates and notary. More than a hundred stamp papers, a laptop, a typewriter and a have been seized from the accused, said Jharsuguda police station IIC Kshira Sagar Naik Prafull Pradhan.
