Initially, the kiosk will cater to the Indigo Airlines but in future the number of kiosks may increase so as to accommodate and cater to the needs of all passengers. The kiosk, which is developed by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and its IT partner SITA, aims at reducing check-in time at counters and avoid undue inconvenience to passengers travelling only with hand-baggage.

To get boarding pass, passengers will need to feed in their PNR number in the system and select a seat of their choice from the seating chart. Besides, the system would also make efficient use of the limited space and infrastructure at the Airport, said the airport director. The facility will be great relief for the passengers arriving at the airport.
