With a seven-day Monsoon Session of the State Assembly all set to begin from Tuesday, the Commissionerate Police has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure that no untoward incident takes place during the session.

Commissioner of Police Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma, who supervised the security arrangements in and around the Assembly on Monday, said, “Three tier security systems will be enforced for the session, besides deployment of 38 platoons of police forces. This apart, two DCPs, four Additional DCPs, 10 ACPs and 10 inspectors will be engaged to maintain law and order.”

Stating that CCTV cameras are also installed at three sensitive points like the Master Canteen Square, Rabindra Mandap and lower PMG, Sharma said special arrangements have been made to keep strict vigil on demonstrators and agitators along the Mahatma Gandhi Marg.
