The Jharsuguda district administration has imposed Section 144 of the CrPC at crowded places from Thursday to prevent possible spread of novel coronavius in in the district.
The Section 144 has been imposed in around 78 weekly markets as per a notice issued by the Sub Collector to all BDOs, municipality Executive Officers, police stations and administrative departments for strict compliance. The markets include 11 under Jharsuguda block, 25 under Lakhanpur block, 11 under Laikera, 12 under Kolabira, 14 under Kirmira block and five markets under Belpahar Municipality. However, not a single market under the Brajrajrajnagar Municipality comes in the list.
