A scribes’ body of Athagarh has lodged an FIR in the Athagarh Police Station against Athagarh DFO Sasmita Lenka for her allegedly derogatory remarks on the journalists by terming them as beggars in Facebook social media on June 16.
In her posting, she had denounced journalists demanding money and blackmailing her by misusing their freedom.
Over such remarks by the DFO through Facebook, the scribes’ body here called an urgent meeting today and after decision they lodged an FIR with the local police against the derogatory remarks on journalists which hampers the dignity of fourth pillar and demanded stringent legal and departmental action against the arbitrary officer.
The union also wrote letters to the RCCF and the PCCF regarding the irresponsible posting by an officer and demanded her immediate transfer.
