The schools need to provide an analytical frame of mind to the students for enabling them to transform knowledge into wisdom in the world of information explosion, said eminent litterateur Padma Vibhusan Sitakant Mohapatra on the second day of the silver jubilee celebrations of the DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur here on Sunday.
Attending the event as the chief guest, the poet also advised the students to learn to understand the real meaning of life. On the, as many as 18 distinguished personalities from various disciplines, including litterateur Dr Satkadi Hota, social activist Sruti Mohapatra, Odishi dancer Aruna Mohanty, sculptor Dr Raghunath Mohapatra, film director Sabyasachi Mohapatra and hockey player Michael Kindo, were felicitated for their contributions. Eight more personalities would be felicitated on the valedictory day. Besides, the school magazine Kusumayani was released on the occasion along with performance of several dance events. School chairman Madan Mohan Panda and principal and director of DAV Public Schools, Odisha Zone Dr KC Satpathy were present.
