A Class-VI student of the Sacred Heart School at Raniguda of Rayagada district died after collapsing during a prayer in the school on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Subhranshu Nayak, elder son of Mangaldaan Nayak.
According to reports, Subhranshu was attending the prayer session in his classroom at around 7:30 am when he suddenly fainted and collapsed.
The boy began shivering and his mouth started foaming. The school authorities rushed him to the Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital, where however the doctor pronounced him dead.
Police registered a case of unnatural death in this regard and began investigation.
