Around 4,000 School Coordinators working under e-Vidyalaya project have urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to ensure justice to them as the Il&FS company, which hires them, is forcing them to work sans any agreement. “As per the agreement signed between us individually and the company our services are to be extended for another year which concludes on March 9, 2015. In spite of making the agreement the company has issued a letter on March 6 for renewal of our service for period of two months up to April 30,” said a memorandum which was submitted to the Chief Minister.
The memorandum further stated that the company was paying a mere Rs 6,500 as monthly remuneration and also deducting Rs 595 towards PF and etc. “Though one year has been elapsed into the deduction of money from our salary, we are yet to intimate about our PF account number and other formalities,” the memorandum maintained. As the project would continue for five years, the coordinators urged the Chief Minister to ensure timely signing of agreements between them and the company. The job of the School Coordinators was to educate children for smart class and also to teach students computer education.
