In view of the ongoing heat wave, the State Government on Monday decided to extend the summer vacation of all educational institutions by five more days.
“Keeping the searing heat wave conditions in the State in view, it has been decided in principle to extend the duration of the ongoing summer vacation in all Government and non-Government schools, colleges and technical institutes by five more days till June 23,” Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) PK Mohapatra said in a Press release. It may be mentioned that all educational institutions in the State were scheduled to reopen on June 18 as notified earlier.
