At least ten women post-graduate students of the SCB Medical College here filed a written complaint against a Professor of the college hospital alleging that he had been physically and mentally harassing them for past few days.
Police said the students had lodged the complaint before the city DCP, who in turn, forwarded it to the Mangalabag police station with a direction to investigate the matter after registering an FIR.
It may be mentioned here that the hospital authorities had formed a six-member in-house committee to investigate into the sensational matter. But since the concerned professor against whom the allegations are made is currently on leave, the committee is unable to make any progress in the case.
