Following the Orissa High Court endorsing the decision to hand over the management of the Cuttack SCB Medical College Public School to the DAV management, the process has now begun.
DAV Regional Officer KC Satapathy said discussions are being held on the takeover of the school by both the parties. Besides, the New- Delhi based DAV Managing Committee has given its approval .
“The future of the students of SCB School would not be compromised at any cost. The students , teachers and staffs would be given all the importance after the takeover. All the students would continue their studies in the same school,” Satpathy added.
Any apprehension about the fee hike is not true. The students would pay the same fee., what they had been paying to the SCB School, he said.
Notably, a PIL was filed by some parents of the SCB School students opposing the decision to hand over the school to the DAV management.
But a Division Bench of Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq and Justice BR Sarangi said, “The students of DAV School in Odisha and the country are performing well in the examinations. The DAV is a all India non-profitable organisation . The decision would be in greater interest of the students.”
