The authorities of the SCB Medical College Hospital here on Wednesday shut its Out Patient Department (OPD) after detection of a Covid-19 patient.
Restrictions have been imposed on entry to the hospital. Only vehicles carrying critical patients would be permitted to enter into the hospital.
Meanwhile on the day, two nursing homes in Kendrapada district have been sealed for allegedly violating Covid-19 guidelines.
A joint squad of the Health Department conducted raids on four private clinics and nursing homes. The institutions offering healthcare services were found flouting Covid rules following which the decision to close the OPDs of two nursing homes was taken, an official said.
The authorities also slapped fine amount of over Rs 1 lakh for violating Covid guidelines.
